From raising awareness about fighting against animal cruelty, to shelter listings where you can adopt a pet, to tips about taking care of your pet, the ASPCA is a wonderful organization. This is one of my favorites and I think they do some remarkable work. A gift as little as $20 can help feed an abandoned dog or cat for three weeks. There are a number of donation packages available. Please consider donating to this admirable cause. And rememeber, there are plenty of loving pets available at your local shelter that are looking for a home. Skip the breeders!
Call me some crazy, liberal hippie. I don't mind. But if there's one thing I would think we could all agree on, is that we all have one planet to live on. And that's the planet were on now. The NRDC is a fantastic organiztion that provides education on environmental issues. From recycling (big fan), to green energy, to land preservation, to learning about a new "green economy," the NRDC is a huge website with a wealth of valuable information. Please visit their site and learn about what you can do to help preserve our planet for generations to come.
