Seth Adam - Vocals, electric & acoustic guitar
In late 2005, after the demise of his previous band Green Inside, Seth was left to make a decision. "I didn't know what I wanted to do with music anymore. I didn't know if I wanted to hang it up for a while, continue as 'Green Inside,' or move onto something completely new," explains Adam. For five years, Seth worked tirelessly with his former band, playing popular cover songs and injecting original material into the sets. That formula proved to make "fairweather fans," limiting the awareness that Seth was a true, American songwriter at heart, and not a puppet to voice the latest top 40 hit. "In retrospect, I'm glad that band ended. I had good times, but too many people asscociated us as a cover band," states Adam. "Luckily, there were quite a few folks that saw beyond the 40 million times we played 'Blister In The Sun,' and were incredibly supportive of my songwriting. Those are the people that helped me realize that I had to continue writing and performing my original songs." Beginning in November of 2005, Seth had employed the talents of former Green Inside guitarist Gerry Giaimo, original Green Inside bass player Lorin Pellegrino, and Mokijam drummer Antonio Bianco to form an all original project. Dubbed simply Seth Adam, the vision was clear: to bring "rock & roll" back to rock & roll. No gimmicks, no frills, no egos - just a desire to create great songs. In April 2006, Mokijam keyboard player/composer Fred DiLeone joined the band, rounding out the songs with Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Hammond keys. Shortly after, Sean Miller joined the acoustic side of things on mandolin and vocals, performing a majority of the acoustic shows with Seth & Gerry. Sean performed with the full, electric band as well. In July 2006, Seth released the Seth Adam EP. Intended to be used as a promotional piece, the EP contained two songs: "Get Out" and "Nice Boy." "Get Out" would later be licensed to Volkswagon, for use on their 2007 Sights & Sounds campaign. In early 2007, Seth released Live In New Haven 11.8.06. The EP was to be the introduction into the realm of live releases. Adam explains, "I wanted that record to hold folks over 'til the full-length studio record. Unfortunately, I've never been happy with the way it came out. We recorded it at Toad's Place in New Haven when we opened up for Alexa Ray Joel. There was also this new, Geffen Records artist on the bill, who shall remain unnamed. She and her "people" were so pushy and insistent. They rushed us and I think the performance suffered because of it. The recording just didn't represent us. But at least it gave me the chance to release a few new songs, and I was happy about that." Between April and October 2007, Seth and the band (now minus Sean Miller) spent time in the studio recording songs for Where You Come From, Seth's first full-length album. Released in April 2008, the album contains a few re-recordings of songs that Seth wrote during the Green Inside days, as well as newly written songs such as "Century," "A Thousand Times," and "Alright, Alright." A guest vocal performance from Christine Ohlman helped to bring a sound, reminiscent of 70's rock & roll with a modern twist to the record. So what is Seth doing now? Adam answers, "Just a whole bunch of things... that's all! Ha! Ha! Gerry and I are writing new songs for the next record, we're about to record an acoustic EP, Borders Books & Music picked up Where You Come From and they're distributing it throughout their Northeast stores, we're promoting the record to AAA radio, playing as many shows as possible, and once in a while I stop to eat. And one more thing... I'll keep pouring my heart out on stage every time I play. You'll always get a heartfelt, honest show." Gerry Giaimo - Electric & acoustic guitars, vocals
"I didn't choose to play guitar... playing guitar chose me," states guitarist Gerry Giaimo. With a full fueled passion, he's been playing guitar longer than he cares to mention, never looking back. When asked why the guitar was the instrument of choice, Giaimo replies, "Piano lessons were thrust upon me at age six. I learned quickly, however, that the first grade ladies in my school much preferred guitar players. No further incentive was needed: at age 7, I made the switch to electric guitar, and the rest is history." Well versed in multiple styles, his guitar playing adds incredible texture to the music. "My guitar pluckin' journey has taken many left turns. After a few pit stops in the outskirts of funk, classical, jazz-fusion, and after an extended sebatical in country, I've found a home for these styles with Seth's songs. My world now revolves around Telecasters played through low-wattage amps that are turned up loudly. The boys don't seem to mind the Tele thing. The 'turned up' part? Well, I'd like to think that part is still growing on them." Giaimo adds, "Only one challenge remains: a coherent reconciliation of Jimmy Page, Danny Gatton, Denny Diaz and Jeff Beck. I'm hoping to work that out in this lifetime." Gear: coming soon! Favorite Quote: coming soon! |

Fred DiLeone - Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hammond Organ
When it comes to taste, Fred DiLeone knows how to create it – and that's just his pasta sauce! When it comes to playing the keys, Fred knows the recipe. He uses only the finest ingredients: "I don't play any instruments that aren't older than I am," explains DiLeone. His vintage sounds coming off of his boards are the perfect compliment to the songs. A regular in the New Haven music scene, Fred is the co-founder of funk-fusion band Mokijam. He plays regularly with Marc Sincavage and his latest project, The Spins. Freds experience knows no boundaries, as he can quickly and expertly adapt to virtually any musical situation. "We've got some pretty good tunes," says DiLeone of his project with Seth. "We're gonna focus on more keyboard-based songs on the next record, and I'm pretty excited about that." Gear: coming soon! Favorite Quote: coming soon! |

Anthony Bianco - Drums
Anthony Bianco, also a member of the aforementioned Mokijam, was one of the first members to join Seth in late 2005. Having played with numerous bands, courted several record companies, and endured the highs & lows of the music business, Anthony is an experienced drummer and a team player. "Ya gotta know how to play the game and keep yourself happy at the same time," states Bianco. Anthony has studied for years with studio musician and drummer extraordinaire, Artie Dixon. "Artie's been great to me and really helped me take my playing to the next level," explains Bianco." Having performed with Mokijam a majority of the past 5 years, the shift to playing "backbeat, rock & roll" was a shift, but Bianco was up for the challenge. Anthony states, "These are good songs with 'less is more' mentality." Anthony adapted to the new musical atmosphere quickly and dances expertly between rock & jazz. Gear: coming soon! Lorin Pellegrino - Bass
Lorin has been performing with Seth for a long time. He first met Seth some 14 years ago at a jam session with Seth's future brother-in-law. A few years later, Lorin would join Seth in a local cover band. Both Seth and Lorin yearned for something more, and soon they formed an original project called Seth Adam Band. Eventually the band changed it's name to Green Inside. Due to family issues, Lorin had to leave Green Inside in 2002. Four years later, he joined Seth once again to lend his accomplished bass playing to Seth's new project. "Lorin is an incredible player. He's no Jaco Pastorius and that's the way I like it. He's got such a great ear for the bass parts, and provides such a solid rhythm section for these songs. There is astounding elegance in his simplicity. And he's one of the nicest guys on the planet," explains Adam. Gear: coming soon! Favorite Quote: coming soon! |
